DC Comics, originally known as National Allied Publications, was founded in 1934 and is one of the oldest and most iconic comic book publishers in the world. They are responsible for creating some of the most beloved characters in the comic book industry, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and the Justice League.

DC Comics has gone through several eras and changes in its history, including the Golden Age, Silver Age, Bronze Age and Modern Age of comics. In the Golden Age, which spanned the 1930s and 1940s, DC introduced many of its most famous characters and set the foundation for the superhero genre. The Silver Age, which began in the late 1950s, saw the reintroduction of classic characters with new and updated storylines.

The Bronze Age, which spanned the 1970s and 1980s, saw DC put an increased focus on character development and social issues. The Modern Age, which began in the 1990s and continues to this day, has seen an increased focus on diverse storytelling and reboots.

DC has produced countless iconic comic book titles over the years, including Action Comics, Detective Comics and Batman. They have also adapted their characters into television shows, movies and other forms of media, further cementing their place in popular culture.

Despite the many changes DC Comics has gone through, they remain one of the most important and influential comic book publishers of all time. Their characters continue to captivate and inspire new generations of readers, with an immense impact on the comic book industry and pop culture in general.
